Fuel Tank Cap Circulation Hole
Good morning, everyone... Here's another quick tip... This morning I intended to go to the shop near my house to buy something. Just five steps from the house, my Special suddenly died, as if it had run out of gas. But the gas was fine, the ignition and everything else had just been checked yesterday.
Hmm... I tried to open the seat just for fun. And when I looked at the fuel tank cap, it seemed really dirty, like an unkempt bike (hahaha... I said I take care of it with all my heart 😝).
.
I immediately opened the fuel tank cap, wiped the inside with a cloth, and blew into the circulation hole. Ta-daaa... I knew this had to be the cause. Turns out the air circulation hole was clogged with dirt, everyone... this is what's preventing the fuel from flowing down. Don't underestimate something small and supposedly "cheap" (REMEMBER this is a VESPA, not a Benelli 😝).
.
So what do you do if it's clogged like that?
Don't worry, all roads lead to Rome (actually, are we going to the shop or to Rome..😤😤). Even though I don't have an air compressor at home to clean this clogged hole. We'll just use what's available. I'll just grab my wife's hijab pin, since she's already at work. Then poke that clogged hole until all the obstructing dirt comes out.
But be careful, everyone, don't let the dirt get into the tank. You have to play it safe. Remember to play it safe, haha... Hope this is clear enough and useful.
